Observation

I hope it is okay for me to change this up a little, it is still about an observation from different distances away, but I didn't just do it. It happened when I was a little bit younger and I was heading home from Idaho Falls on a windy, but warm summer day. We got a phone call that our house was on fire, at first my mom just let it kind of fly by her because my grandma is a bit of an exaggerator, then after having like 6 other people told her she started to freak out.

So here we are heading home from Idaho Falls, I'm trying to imagine all the things that the house could look like, having no idea. We got off the Rose exit, heading towards Groveland road. We get down it a few miles getting closer and closer to our house. As we get closer I can see cars parked all around the front of my house. I remember just looking and seeing everyone else's houses all nice and calm, besides the wind that was blowing. We passed the Lilya's red and brown house with a beautiful landscaped yard, then the Wackenhuts, having a large pasture with 2 horses standing right at the edge of the fence and 2 running down the field. Me noticing the smoke that is coming from somewhere near my house. I start seeing all the bright green trees in my yard, and all the shrubs up front that we planted just summers before. Then we passed the Parkinsons house, just two houses away from mine. I'm starting to notice more things, such as all the different cars in my driveway. Two big bright red firetrucks in my driveway, one parked up front, and another on the side of my house. A total of four bright red firetrucks and one ambulance. There was also 4 other trucks and 4 cars from people stopping by. Our camper was parked right out front next to one of the fire trucks. It had been moved. It was like 4 feet from the garage before, but I'm guessing they moved it to keep it safe. As we pull up, after looking past all the fire trucks, I noticed all the people and supporters around helping with hoses, trash bags, and hugs! Also noticing behind all of this that half our house has definitely burnt down. I couldn't quite tell what it all was all i could see was a black blur about 20 feet away and I was just smelling and tasting that nasty smoke. As I started walking closer I noticed things such as the big screen, all sorts of clothes, soccer balls, bikes, dressers, and a whole lot more. All burnt to a crisp! And it smelt horrible. Like a smell i can't even explain. Burnt smoky clothes that are all wet, that's as good as I can explain it!

It was a horrible thing to observe for me, but this was the first thing that came to mind when I read the journal. Because it happened just like that. I was noticing everything, from as far back as I could possibly see anything about my house. It was step by step just like that, it is something I will probably always remember very clearly.

1 HOUR

I have been at work since 10 this morning and won't be off until 3. I work in the Pine Ridge Mall at Sunglass Hut. Standing here in my little kiosk all I pretty much ever think about is food. That is because I work right be the Courtyard, which is the food court at the mall. So I sit and usually stare at subway until I think it is lunchtime and time to eat! Standing here, not sitting, because we don't get a chair! But standing here I can see many stores, the ones closest to me being American Eagle, Buckle, and Claires. And the ones most important to me being, Subway, Mrs. Powells, Orange Julius, and Marios Pizza! All day when I am working, besides selling sunglasses of course, I pretty much just stand here and smell food! I can smell things such as bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and occasionally a whiff of pizza comes around! It is a Saturday morning so the mall is pretty busy. Theres all sorts of things to see and hear. Of course I am seeing many people, most seem to be married, or in couples at least. Others are just usually with groups of friends. I don't seem to see many traveling the mall alone! I hear all the talking from people about where they are heading next, or why Bobby hit Suzie yesterday. There is alot of mall walkers, which are people that just come to the mall and walk and don't even intend to go there and buy anything. So I catch there conversations a little bit more since i see them like 50 times a morning! Sharon must be this ladies name that keeps walking by with her older lady friend, how I know that is because the front right of her shirt says "Sharon" and the back says "Retired and still kickin!" I'm seeing all kinds of different strollers, blue ones, pink ones, gray ones, etc. I hear bags knocking into each other and making that whisping noise. I've heard a few stroller wheels squeaking from the heavy babies or harsh treatment to the stroller I assume! Theres a buzzer going off right now, I believe its probably at subway telling them their bread is done, but I'm not quite sure, it could possible be at Mrs. Powells. I see people in footlocker trying on many different shoes, going through there sales and laughing and giggling. Chase, a kid who works in footlocker just looked out and waved. Looking over towards American Eagle I always notice those manicans first. I also just noticed one of the manicans has something different about it. Oh, I know, it has a necklace on it now, that wasn't there before. Oh wow, there goes that silly retired Sharon again! Now looking towards Claires, I just see a bunch of young girls and two "moms" I would think. I can't really tell how many girls are in there, but I can tell you I don't see any boys! Wait I take that back, two teenager boys just walked in, I would assume for a girlfriend, or maybe they have earrings they need. People have come and gone looking at sunglasses as I have been observing. I have had one sell since I started this. He was very sure on what he wanted, an middle aged man, probably in his 40's, with dark hair, probably about average height, he took me straight to the glasses and was sure they were the ones he wanted! I have just walked around the kiosk, making sure the glasses are all set up nicely still, and checking for fingerprints on the glasses and the glass kiosk itself. I noticed a few finger prints down lower on the glass, I figure they are from little kids. I go back in and get the Windex to clean it off, streak free too! Then i clean off some glasses that I noticed were a bit dirty, only four pairs. Two Ray Bans, and Oakley and a D&G pair. As i put the Oakley pair back I actually noticed Sharon again! So, that is an hour at work with Alisha!
