5 key components for essay 1

The five key components of this essay are, of course number one in every essay should be grammar. Two would have to be finding a good artist to do you work on. Three getting facts about the artist to be able to explain/write about him. Now for number four you need to figure out your audience and who will be reading your essay. Then of course going along with number four would be to make sure you can catch your audience attention and that would be number five. I'm not too much of an artsy person so I know I am really going to have to do some research to find an artist who I will enjoy learning about and teaching it back into my essay. I hope I can find the perfect artist who I can easily figure out and have something in common with!

Soccer

I chose to do my journal on number 2 page 57. I then of course I chose to talk about soccer. One of my favorite things in the world! People always know me from soccer it seems like. I will be walking and they will always be like, "Aren't you the one with the cool cleats from Blackfoot?" I know a lot about soccer considering I have played it since I was 5. Then pretty soon I just started to play it year round, spring soccer, summer soccer, fall soccer, and of course indoor soccer! I would love to meet some famous soccer players such as Mia Hamm, David Beckham, or any other really good player, and have them teach me some of their skills. I know that I love soccer but I'm definitely am no pro! When it comes to the pros most of them seem to play it as if it is so easy and it just comes natural. I would love to get that natural look! I want to learn their work outs, that make them so much more fit and what makes them go non-stop. They just keep going and going. They also have nice shots and passes. Like i said before it all just seems to come natural to them. I just think that would be the greatest!

Chrysler 300C

I looked around in my book and chose to do my journal today from page 25 question number 2. It has a picture of a Chrysler 300C and it just shows it a front shot from pretty much the grille. What leads you to mostly notice the grille I think would be how everything in the picture is a dark green color and then the grille is a chrome color and it just sticks out. The car is dark green the background is dark green. There are only a few chrome or other colored things in the picture. The grille just happens to be the biggest and right in the middle! The manufactures might be showing you the grille because it is a new and improved grille that is very fancy. Maybe they could just be showing you the front of the car because it is probably the only thing that has changed about it. I really don't know what the old one looks like but from the front of this car it seems like it would be a really shiny and nice fancy car to be driving around in! Things that lead you to the grille are just how everything like shoves into it. The head lights seem to be just pushing against the grille making your eyes stay right in the middle.

ULRIKSEN PAINTINGS

I have been examining the two paintings of the dogs by Mark Ulriksen. The one titled "Little Dog" is showing that the dog seems to be either happy or tired from running up to the owner. It may be titled "Little Dog" but it sure is an up close shot which makes the dog look bigger. Having it be an up close shot shows more detail in the dogs face and eyes of where he may be looking or how he may feel. It seems that the owner is just laying in the sand on some beach and just called the dog over to play with or pet. Seeing the background of a beach or somewhere like that, the dog could have been running around enjoying the weather and freedom. The one titled "Puppy Love" the dog seems to be upset, because he doesn't want to chase the ball, or just happily waiting for the owner to throw the ball so he can go chase it. The painting is very zoomed out. I am thinking it is so that he can show the ball in the painting and how the dog either wants the ball or doesn't want it, I'm not sure because you cant really see the dogs facial features too well. By the title I would expect that the owner just bought a puppy and is trying to teach him fetch but the dog is just not comprehending. With the red background color it could just be trying to bring out the white ball better or could be that someone isn't really happy.
